ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN 

EXPO ASTANA 

2017

EXPO Astana, an international exposition on green technology and innovation was held in Central Asia for the first time, and the host country was Kazakhstan. At EXPO-2017, Malaysia as one of the world’s most forested nations presented a virtual experience of solutions in the creation of a “green” future. The Malaysian Pavilion was strategically located between its Asian neighbours: China and India.

 

We were enlisted as the branding and strategic communications consultant for the expo by Greentech Malaysia. Our key role was to develop key communication strategies and develop a strong brand identity for Malaysia at the Expo. 

 

Malaysia generated a total of RM12.7 billion in business leads with companies based in the Republic of Kazakhstan, China and Switzerland during its participation. The total figure from the potential trade and investment was garnered from 14 memorandum of understanding (MoUs) signed, which valued at RM5.05 billion as well as business matching sessions that received potential businesses valued at RM7.6 billion. Meanwhile, the Malaysian pavilion achieved remarkable success being among the top most visited pavilions with a total number of 618,256 visitors.
